It’s a fact that I am not alone in the experience of being manipulated by a gaslighting narcissist. In fact, many of the folks reading this chapter right now would attest to their own experiences of being abused with mind games and lies. Most of us did not recognize the manipulation until after the damage was done and we had to learn how to trust all over again.
Gaslighting is a form of psychological abuse where a person or group of people makes someone question their sanity, perception of reality, or memories. People experiencing gaslighting often feel confused, anxious, and unable to trust anyone.
Thankfully, only one out of a hundred people in society are narcissists but that doesn’t mean they are easy to pick out in a crowd. A narcissist is a professional manipulator, they can be extremely charming while “sizing you up” as they look for an angle to take advantage of you. Lying comes natural to a narcissist, but even they can become trapped in their own narratives of reality. They are capable of doing anything, whatever it takes, to protect their false reality. Their low EQ will cause them to go to war with their own ego whenever they are confronted with the truth, the outcome can be violent. And if you think the narcissist is dangerous, make sure you watch out for those flying monkeys out there.
Flying monkeys are people who actively participate in a narcissist's smear campaign. The goal of the campaign is to destroy the target's reputation. Flying monkeys carry out much of the narcissist's dirty work, allowing the narc to keep their hands clean.
If you’re a regular reader of this website, you know that I only post every couple of years. I published the chapter, Gas Light, on December 12, 2021, then twelve days later, on Christmas Eve, my site was accused of copyright infringement. My site had to be suspended to give the accuser time to provide evidence that they are pursuing their case in a court of law. [as I write this, I assume this chapter will be live on January 11, 2022 because the accuser has no case]
The Story (my website) is about dirty cops in Louisiana and it includes inside information on how those cops organize their cases in a manner that is meant to distort the truth. The Story begins after living through a hazardous relationship with a professional narcissist named Bob Clayton. He’s mentioned in the first chapter but he’s certainly not the star of this show. Possibly his low EQ is arguing with his ego again. If anyone would want to destroy this website, you would think the pressure would come from one of Bob Clayton’s flying monkeys out of Louisiana. But for some reason his daughter, Robyn Sturgeon, has become the leader of all the flying monkeys out there. Have you ever seen a narcissist light a flying monkey on fire?
When the narcissist wants to evoke some punishment on a target they dispatch their henchmen (aka flying monkeys) to do their bidding. Unfortunately, this can and often does include abusive behavior such as guilt-tripping, twisting the truth, gaslighting, assaults, threats, and violence.
Within a week after posting Rolling on the River (2018), I was served with a temporary restraining order on behalf of Robyn Sturgeon. She had made the most absurd accusations against me and the judge refused to grant her the restraining order (Choose Your Truth). My new website posted the chapter Gas Light on 12-12-2021 and two weeks later, the flying monkey showed up accusing me of copyright infringement and my site was shut down. This is the photo that Robyn Sturgeon claims copyrights to.

photo of Robyn Clayton Sturgeon
Robyn was 23 years old when she took this selfie and she had a two year old child. Then she used the selfie as her profile picture when she opened half a dozen social media accounts. This picture is how Robyn Clayton Sturgeon wanted to present herself to the World in 2008 which means the photo is within the boundary of Free Use laws. The deal is, you can’t even see her face in that picture and she probably should have never owned up to it. Now we know without question that this picture is of Robyn Sturgeon because she says so, herself. The saddest part about all of this drama is that all flying monkeys are just one more victim, they are the collateral damage created by a psychopathic narcissist, who, in this case, is Bob Clayton.
The aftermath of narcissistic abuse can include depression, anxiety, hypervigilance, a pervasive sense of toxic shame, emotional flashbacks that regress the victim back to the abusive incidents, and overwhelming feelings of helplessness and worthlessness.
Today Bob Clayton is married into the Palma Family and lives in a town that has a prevalent organization of Ochoa farmers. Bob runs a puppy mill where he claims to breed a “better dog”. This is the same man, Bob Clayton, who took an elderly dog and dumped the poor thing miles up a logging road. This is the same man who gave six year old Robyn a puppy, then he beat that puppy so badly I had to give her away. This is the same man who was drunk and angry when my rottweiler got stuck on the snowy stairs. In a rage he yanked the dog off the stairs so violently that he broke the dog’s leg. I had to put my best friend down while Bob nursed his hangover. Bob Clayton is the same man who wanted to go bird hunting with his brother, except neither of them owned a hunting dog. However, their sister had a neighbor with a pure bred which they dog-napped off the street and took him to a field 250 miles away. Bob and Jeff spent a whole week hunting and when it was time for them to come home they realized that if they returned the dog to the neighborhood where they had stolen him, the dog would remember who they are and give them away. Being the dog lover that Bob is, he chose to abandon the dog in the middle of the field, 250 miles from home ~ in 15 degree weather.
That's Bob Clayton, the narcissist who thinks he breeds a ‘better dog’ now. Give me a break. Bob Clayton has never had the courage to admit who he really is and sadly, he never will. A narcissist is incapable of it.

You will never be able to escape an organization of crime and influence (ie: dirty cops) but you can escape the toxicity of narcissists. It’s harder to distance yourself when you are related to them, but it is possible. In my case, I escaped from Bob Clayton and published a book in 2003. A book that named names
After publishing The Dot Connection I went back to a professional life working nine to five. My off hours were spent defending myself from the vicious and cruel attacks coming from Louisiana. The harassment was so intense that I made the irrational decision to fly down to Abbeville and introduce myself to Donnell Dent [Sounier]. The gloves came off inside the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office and I spent the following five years watching Deputy Sammy Laporte try to frame me for felony trespass. The charges were eventually dropped but only after the district attorney, Keith Stutes, got involved. To this very day, Sammy Laporte is still trying find a way to incriminate, entrap or otherwise frame me.
One of the most common reasons people gaslight is to
gain power over others.
This need for domination may stem from narcissism,
antisocial personality
Deputy Sammy Laporte has been known to work with a man named Jerry Summers. Jerry first contacted me in August, 2018, a few hours after I finished writing “Rolling on the River” . I had just saved a copy of it on my desk top - inside a folder named “FBI Not Hiding Anything”.
Jerry sent me an email through an old email account that had been de-activated for five years. In fact, Jerry contacted me through the same email address that Sammy Laporte had used in 2010. Five minutes later, I received another email from Jerry, the second one came to me through my website. I called Jerry’s number and he introduced himself as a reserve deputy with the Calcasieu Sheriff’s office. And then, he asked me not to publish my “Rolling on the River“ chapter because of his investigation into the murder of Tyler Domingue. Jerry told me that the Bandido Motorcycle gang were the prime suspects in his investigation and it was important that I didn't write about the case. He would not tell me how he got a copy of the chapter, and yet, Deputy Summers was practically bragging about having a copy and he never mentioned a warrant. Jerry was able to string me along for almost two weeks before it became obvious that he had no good intentions and Rolling on the River was published August 15, 2018.
People who engage in gaslighting are habitual and pathological liars.
Immediately after publishing, I began receiving emails from the general public. Most folks reached out through my website. Some folks found me on facebook. But then there were 8 mysterious people who reached out to me on the old email address- the same email address that Jerry Summers and Sammy Laporte used when they contacted me. Two of these people said they were desperate to meet with me in person. Only face to face will do and it must be in Vermillion Parish (where Deputy Sammy Laporte has jurisdiction). Two more emails claimed that Deputy Laporte had been either arrested or fired from the VPSO. And then there were four additional emails that insisted Tyler Domingue had been murdered by the Bandido’s [motorcycle club].
It was obvious to me that my old email address was being passed around to folks who were supposed to spam me with misinformation. Nearly every email that came in on that old email account was repeating the same misinformation that Jerry had been trying to sell me. As the weeks went by, Jerry became more and more hostile and his communications were mostly insults and threats.
I was pretty sick and tired of Jerry Summers when I found his phone number on a flyer for the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s office. When I called the Beauregard sheriff’s office they said Jerry didn’t work for them. They asked for a copy of the flyer and then told me that Jerry might be working in Calcasieu.

(225-773-9640 is the number for Jerry Summers Detective services)
I decided to call the Calcasieu sheriff’s office to express my dissatisfaction in Jerry Summers’ professionalism but I didn’t get a chance to complain. They listened closely while I explained to them that Jerry introduced himself as a reserve Deputy who was investigating the murder of Tyler Domingue. They sounded aggravated and put me on hold. A different deputy came to the phone and informed me that Jerry Summers has never been a deputy, anywhere. Jerry had worked for their office in the past, they hired him to be a crossing guard inside a school zone for a total of three months.
Jerry Summers had already been served a cease-and-desist order for impersonating an officer. After I gave the sheriff's office a copy of the flyer with Jerry’s number on it, they planned to send him another cease-and-desist. The person on the phone volunteered additional information and told me that Jerry Summers liked to interject himself into their investigations. He said that most people in the [sheriff’s] office referred to Jerry as a 103M. (Police code for “mental person” 103M)
Gaslighting behavior is often tied to personality disorders such as narcissistic personality disorder, borderline personality disorder, antisocial personality disorder (sociopaths), and psychopaths are all prone to acting out gaslighting behavior
I think we can all be certain that Jerry Summers did not hack into my desktop and steal a copy of “Rolling on the River“ all by himself. Would the FBI or CIA hand over my chapter to a 103M? Not likely. The only way I can conceive for how Jerry got a stolen file off my desktop is if he had help from the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief of Intelligence a.k.a., Deputy Sammy Laporte.
Fast forward to March, 2021, when the internet burned down after Johnny Primeaux had his charges dropped regarding the Tyler Domingue case. Tyler’s mother exploded on facebook. She sent out a hundred requests asking people to get her in contact with Dawn Marcelle immediately. WHERE IS SHE! I MUST TALK TO HER RIGHT AWAY!!!
Wow. Okay. I called Tammy Domingue at the number she provided.
Tammy answered the phone and she sounded like she was under the influence of a high alcohol blood level. I told her, sincerely, that I wished Tyler was still with us and none of this tragedy had ever happened. Tammy was projecting severe mood swings from her end of the conversation. At first she was upset and tearful then she became angry and mentioned the name Jerry Summers. Tammy told me that he had been in contact with her about making a movie on Tyler's murder and this made Tammy furious. She told me she would sue ANYONE who tried to make a movie about the murder. And then, in an instant, Tammy shifted from anger to greed. There was a smile in her voice as she told me that she has read my website and she would allow me to make the movie – as long as she got some of the profits. She sweetly said “if there is money to be made, I just want my cut”. Her greed quickly shifted to laughter after I rebuffed her offer and then she instantly switched into a dark and serious mood. Tammy told me that she believed Tyler had been murdered by the Bandido’s. Apparently Jerry had some how convinced Tammy that this was true and the idea terrified her. She told me that she was sure that Jerry Summers was stalking her, driving past her home all hours of the day and night, she believed he was spying through her windows. She claimed that she was in so much fear that she hadn’t been outside in days and refused to open the curtains.
Hmmmmmm. This woman is not well.
After I hung up the phone I contacted a friend who lives in Abbeville named Wayne Touchet. Wayne is an intelligent and reasonable man and he also just happens to be first cousin to the District Attorney. I asked Wayne if he would talk to his cousin and ask him to send law enforcement over to Tammy Domingues house to check up on her and let her know that she has nothing to be scared of regarding our 103M character, Jerry Summers.
The next day my phone starts ringing- it was Tammy Domingue. She was laughing loudly into the phone in a maniacal fashion and told me that she thought I was gullible. She also wanted me to know that she went to high school with Sammy Laporte, they are very good friends and he personally stops in to check on her often and regularly.
A gaslighter is often described as cocky, manipulative,
selfish, patronizing, and demanding.
Sorry for wasting your time Mr. Touchet. It would seem that Tammy and Jerry and Sammy were busy throwing gasoline over the truth again, then lighting the match.
For the record, Tyler Domingue’s uncle is/was the president of a local Bandido chapter. You would have to be fish white to believe they had anything to do with her murder. I am convinced that all of this gaslighting was set up by Sammy Laporte together with Jerry Summers in hopes that I would implicate the Bandido’s and then bring down their wrath on my own head.
Law Enforcement Officers who suffer from borderline or narcissistic personality disorders will often become quite proficient in the art of gaslighting. They will gaslight a witness, a suspect, even an innocent bystander in order to manipulate perception of the facts and reality. This is possibly why Deputy Sammy Laporte was taken off the Tyler Domingue case. I’m not sure if the courts are allowing Sammy to continue gaslighting witnesses involved with Johnny Primeaux, unfortunately, Sammy isn’t the only narcissist that wears a VPSO badge.
There are four primary types of gaslighting behaviors:
the straight-up lie,
reality manipulation, scapegoating and coercion.
In July, 2019, the case against Johnny Primeaux regarding the murder of Tyler Domingue ended in a mistrial. The main #1 witness was cooperating with law enforcement in a plea deal that would save them from a long prison sentence as a three-strikes-you’re-out felon. The #2 witness was a delusional crack head whose older brother was released from jail after Cody Fell was murdered. Witness #3 admitted to their own involvement in the crimes and then they were given a plea deal in exchange for their testimony.
The VPSO handed over Tyler’s body two weeks after the mistrial and then witness #1 changed their story and said that Johnny Primeaux was never involved. The VPSO reminded witness #1 about their three-strikes-you’re-out status. Then the cops presented a new photo line-up and witness #1 was asked again to “cooperate”. Being desperate to comply with the VPSO, witness #1 identified a picture of Talooloo and claimed that they were in the car while Dereck Viator was driving when Talooloo jumped out of the passenger side and burned down Scotty Latiolais’ trailer.
Flashback: Scotty Latiolais was a favorite informant (trained liar) inside the Vermilion and Iberia Parish sheriff offices. Johnny’s nightmare first began in 2013 after Scotty lied to the VPSO and told them they could find a stolen tractor at Johnny’s house. (no stolen property was found)
In 2014, Cody Fell was a heavy meth user who was scheduled to testify against the brother of the fore mentioned Witness #2. Word on the streets was that Cody had been paying for his meth supply with counterfeit cash and when he didn’t have cash he was stealing it. By April, Cody was murdered and his body was found in a stolen SUV that was doused in gasoline and lit on fire.
Without Cody’s testimony, the prosecutor had to release the brother of witness #2 from jail.
The SUV was found burning less than a mile from the home of ‘fore mentioned witness #3. For the record, Tyler’s body was also found behind the home of witness #3.
Four weeks before Johnny’s scheduled re-trial, the VPSO arrested both brothers of witness #2 on a minor warrant, it was October 8, 2019. In fact, the VPSO traveled all the way to Crowley to execute the warrant, an action that is unprecedented inside the VPSO. It felt like an underlying threat against witness #2 who was supposed to be preparing to give testimony against Johnny.
Two weeks later on October 28, media reports said that Talooloo had been arrested in Dallas on arson charges connected to the murder of Cody Fell. It is unclear how these charges are connected to the burning of Scotty Latiolais’ trailer that witness #1 described to the police when Talooloo was first implicated. It should be noted that the VPSO identified Talooloo's location long before he was arrested. Talooloo was working on the US north east coast and the VPSO waited until he was due to bring his work truck back to Dallas for maintenance. Talooloo wasn't taken into custody until 10 days before Johnny's trial.
Johnny Primeaux's trial began on schedule with five counts of conspiracy to obstruct justice being charged against him.
Witness #3 lived near the scene where Cody Fell’s burning truck was found. Tyler’s body was also found behind the home of witness #3. in 2015, more than a year after Tyler's murder, witness #3 was still strung out on meth when they were arrested [theft] and thrown into a jail cell.
It was in that jail cell, they experienced withdrawals from their addiction while being interrogated by the VPSO detectives when they suddenly experienced an epiphany. They suddenly recollected a random memory about a bag of cash. Witness #3 (being prodded by investigators) claimed Dereck Viator came to their home. Dereck then stripped out of a jumpsuit and put the jumpsuit into a duffel bag and then left the duffel bag in the garage. As the investigators continued prodding, witness #3 saod Johnny Primeaux had one time put an undisclosed amount of cash inside "a" duffel bag and then they delivered it to Dereck's trailer.
Fact: Witness #3 couldn't remember whether or not the duffel bag of cash was delivered the same year that Tyler and Cody were murdered.
Witness #3 admitted that they were using five lines of meth a day back in 2014 and up until they were arrested (sixteen months after Tyler was murdered). They said they would stay up for three days at a stretch and had no concept of time due to their extended drug abuse. Witness #3 even admitted on the stand that they forgot about the cash-bag until after they got clean in jail and were being interrogated (prodded) by the VPSO - - sixteen months after Tyler was murdered. (seventeen months after the murder of Cody Fell)
The facts are that witness #3 was desperately looking for a way to “cooperate” with the cops in order to help their own situation. And that's how witness #3 was rewarded with a plea deal, much like witness #2 and witness #1.
Gaslighting happens when an abuser tries to control a victim
by twisting their sense of reality.
On November 15, 2019, the jury found Johnny innocent on three of the charges against him. The jury was split on the other two charges and Johnny was found guilty by a non-unanimous jury on two counts of conspiracy to obstruct.
Two months after Johnny's trial, in February 2020, Talooloo still hadn’t been arraigned on his arson charge, four months after he had been arrested. He was wasting away in jail when the cops told him that Johnny made a statement against him regarding the murder of Cody Fell. In reality, Johnny insisted he didn't know Talooloo. The VPSO also told Talooloo that they had video evidence against him, but these are the same cops that told Johnny they had video evidence on him, too. [there was no video evidence] When a warrant was executed on Talooloo’s phone, the forensic evidence proved that Talooloo was in Houston when Cody was murdered. Talooloo kept telling the cops that he has never heard of Johnny Primeaux.
Nobody mentioned Scotty Latiolias trailer fire.
Meanwhile, the cops told Johnny that Talooloo signed a statement against him. Dirty gaslighting cops, coercing and twisting the truth to put a case together. It's all about controlling the narrative, reality has nothing to do with Vermilion style of justice.
In April 2020, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Sixth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution requires that guilty verdicts for criminal trials must be unanimous. Johnny Primeaux’s guilty verdict was overturned and the 15th JDC had to decide to either re-try Johnny on the duffel bag case or simply drop the charges.
It’s fair to assume that the VPSO has spent countless hours gas lighting witnesses and suspects as well as innocent bystanders all while protecting their guilty informants. Nobody knows what to expect from Johnny’s trial this week except one thing is for certain. The truth will not be on display, the guilty will not be punished and justice will not be served.
Justice was never the goal in Vermilion Parish.
The best way to outsmart a gaslighter is to disengage.
You can show up to the discussion
with a mountain of evidence, videos, recordings, and more,
and a gaslighting person will still find a way to
deflect, minimize, or deny.
